About Me

My background includes a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Wheaton College (Illinois), 45+ years of experience in teaching piano, and 10 years experience as a children's choir director. I play regularly at my church, and have had various performing opportunities as an accompanist (for both choral works and solo instrumental recitals).  I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA), and the St. Paul Piano Teacher's Association (SPPTA). As a member of MMTA, I have served as an exam and contest judge, and many of my students regularly participate in annual contest. In 2019, many of my students that entered the preliminary contest advanced to finals and several won and played in the Honors Concert. My students also participate in the MMTA keyboard and theory exams, often passing with levels of excellence and distinction.

I love to share my joy of music with others!
