Fall Information Letter 2016
July 27, 2016
Hope that you have all had a great summer and have enjoyed the extra time with your kids. I had an exciting trip to the Baltics this summer with the Evangelion Choir (my husband was singing and I was the “tag-along” that recorded each concert). We toured the countries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia – beautiful countries with a great heritage of music. It was my first time out of North America and I loved it. I have also spent a lot of time this summer working towards my National Certification in Piano and making lesson plans for all my students for the coming year. It's been a busy couple of months.
Now, on to the new school year. Hard to believe that it is here already! I'm excited for the new year, and our theme of “Out of This World – A Musical Space Odyssey”. I'm hoping the students will love this new incentive program. I've had a lot of fun creating it.
REGISTRATION: There is a yearly registration fee of $45 per student ($90 max per family), which helps to cover the costs of assignment books, recitals, magazines, incentive awards, etc. The fee (and any outstanding balances) should be paid by August 12th in order to reserve a spot on the teaching schedule for the 2016-2017 school year. Your enrollment is an agreement for the entire studio calendar year of 37 lessons.
LESSON TIMES: I am now beginning to schedule for the fall semester. You should have received an email/survey form from me about scheduling your times – you can simply reply to that email with your requests. Thanks to everyone for being so patient and flexible as we try to find a time that works for everyone – not an easy task with over 65 students. I will schedule returning students first and then will be opening up the remaining spots to new students on Monday, August 15th. So, please let me know ASAP as to a time for your students.
LESSONS START on Tuesday, September 6th and run through Saturday, June 10th with 2 summer lessons scheduled at your convenience. Bring current books and have your student be prepared with the music that was assigned over the summer. If you have some new music that you would like to work on this year, bring that also. Students need to provide a 3-ring notebook and at least two highlighter pens (one must be yellow) for assignment pages and added materials. Pages will be handed out at the first lesson and throughout the year.
Monthly tuitions rates (please pay at the beginning of the month)
Monthly tuition for 30 minute lessons = $100 per student
Monthly tuition for 45 minute lessons = $135 per student
Semester tuition rates (discount already included)
30 minute lessons = $320.00 per student x 3 payments (Sept/Dec/March)
OR $240.00 per student x 4 payments (Sept/Dec/March/June)

Christmas Recital: Sunday, December 18th 2-5pm
Optional “jazz and ensembles” recital: Sunday, February 26th 4-5:30pm.

WEBSITES: The website with Music Teacher's Helper https://moyermusicstudio.musicteachershelper.com/login has a lot of information for you – upcoming lesson times, recital dates, current billing statements, etc.... Students can even log their practice time on-line if they like. This is also the place to check when signing up for recital times, etc. If you need help with your username and/or password, just let me know and we'll get you started. If you are looking for basic studio information you can also access www.moyermusicstudio.com without needing a password.
Feel free to pass on my information to family or friends interested in piano lessons. I am currently close to full for the school year, but I have a waiting list should a spot open up.
If you have any questions concerning this coming year, please don't hesitate to contact me. With my crazy schedule, I am quicker responding to email and texts but you can also call my google voice number as well.
Looking forward to this coming year!!
